Daslight 5 MIDI Triggering Problem

Hi

Very new user of Daslight 5 (Windows) here. I'm halfway through evaluating if Daslight 5 can replace QLC+ for my band's lighting. I am stuck on the MIDI triggering of scenes. Daslight can see the MIDI pedal, it will allow me to map MIDI to scenes, and I can see the MIDI data arriving in Daslight both with the dot on the toolbar and using the MIDI watcher. However, I am unable to trigger the scenes via MIDI. If I mouse-click on the scenes they trigger as expected, so I don't think I've made a rookie error with how they are programmed. I also mapped the scenes to keyboard keys and they work as expected. I appear to be having the same issue as posted here viewtopic.php?t=9230

I have yet to purchase the DVC Fun interface because I wanted to be sure of the software functionality. Is MIDI triggering disabled due to the lack of interface, or lack of full version? Or could it be something else?

I might have solved my own issue here. I was using the same MIDI mapping on my controller as I use with QLC+. This was sending PC messages, which Daslight understood and then let me map to my test scenes. I have started afresh, and mapped CC messages instead (manually), and this seems to be working now. Have I missed something in a manual somewhere that tells me Daslight only responds to CC messages?
