No Fadetime if driving mode is set to beat go or Pulse

Post by renefehr »

Hello Everybody,
i hope anyone can help me. I created a scene with 3 steps that changes the colors of some led spots. To have a fade i set the fade time for all step. That works as expected in the BPM driving mode but if i switch to beat go or pulse and the scene is paused the steps are not fading anymore and switch hard. What can i do to have fade with beat go or pulse driving? Thank you!

Hello!

Thanks for raising this thread. I have a potential solution for you for this, by splitting your steps into 'Fade' and 'Wait' steps that are separated from each other.

This can be done via the following steps:

- Set each of your steps to a long wait time (i.e. 5 mins) with 0 seconds fade time.
- Duplicate each of the colour steps, but set these to a 0 second wait time and X second fade time (however long you want the fade to be).
- Move the last step (the 'fade' step) to step 1, and ensure that your steps are in the order fade, wait, fade, wait, fade, wait.
- Set the Pulse or BeatGo Driving Mode to 3 beat divisions

Please note that all 'fade' steps and all 'wait' steps will need to have identical lengths for this to work. See the video below for further guidance:
