How to move individual beams in control panel view?

Post by Jamo »

Hello fellow light techs :)

Quick question.

The following fixture, shown via control panel, resembles a 5x5 LED matrix blinder (we got 12 of those)

Image

As you can see, Daslight shows 25 Beams, starting at index 0 and ending at 24. Each beam is shown as one individual rectangle.
That's all good so far.

But, as said, we're talking about 5x5 matrix blinders. So I'd really love to have those 25 rectangles arranged in a 5x5 pattern.

Now, how can I do this?

Whenever I try to select just one of the beams (rectangles) it automatically selects the entire fixture.
Is there no way of moving individual beams within one fixture to be able to represent the actual setup?

Thanks everyone! :)

Hello,

We can update the arrangements of beams by changing the fixture profile. If you can please confirm the exact name and brand of the file so that we can look into this, that would be very much appreciated!

If the profile has been downloaded from an external source, you can send us the .ssl2 file here (you may need to attach it as a zipped folder file).

Kind regards,
Will

Hi @willm,

thanks so much for your reply!

The fixture used is called "led matrix blinder 5x5 dmx" by Stairville.
It ships with the default SSL lib of Daslight - No external sources needed.

Cheers

Hello,

Thanks for confirming that, I have just updated the file for you. I've attached the .ssl2 file directly to this response.

Kind regards,
Will

Great question! I’ve been wondering the same for our pixel fixtures. Following to see if someone has a clean solution for arranging subfixtures in Daslight’s 2D view. Speed Stars Game
