An important issue in Daslight 4

Post by Valmer »

Hello, after many years of use of Daslight 4, I have to signal this problem, because it's very boring in too many situations..
I don't know if Daslight 5 has it too, but I surely think that in Daslight 4 it's an error in programmation, not a really desired thing.

Example: If I change the PAN or TILT value in a fixture set, ALL the value of that fixture changes in ANY scene.
No question for those scenes that envolves that fixture but...
If I have scenes with only par lights (so with only 1 channel), why, tell me why, the values of pan and tilt of the fixtures must change?
They (that before were "OFF") are now all set to "?"
You can imagine 50 scenes where I have to re-change the value of that fixture.

If any value in the parameters was OFF, I think it must remain OFF, until I ( and not the program) don't change it..
A moving head can be horizontal or vertical or inverted, changing the theatre, I know, and I know that I have to recalibrate THAT fixture in my scene.
But if that fixture isn't present in a scene, why its values must change in that scene?

Very often I have to substitute only 1/2 moving heads for different parameters in different locations, but I wouldn't have to configure again any scene, that don't use the changed moving head.
I should have to say other observations about this program (no update, crashes in modify, ecc.), but this one I have described above is surely the worst (for me).
Best regards.
