Bug: speed setting in scene properties ignored in superscene

Post by lordGoldemort »

Repro:

* Create a Color FX (eg Burst) in a scene
* in the scene properties increase the speed control
* create a super scene from the scene you just made
* play back the super scene
* the original scene plays back at the original speed

If this is a feature, how do we increase the speed of an effect?

Ok just seen in the manual that this is a feature. So then: how are we meant to speed up and slow down effects?

For example the chase, just plays at whatever speed it feels like. There's no speed slider.

Hi LordGoldemort, there are actually two options to control the speed of scenes (and/or FX) in your Super Scenes:

A) In the FX scene itself (or any other not-static scene), you can change their speed just by manipulating the duration of a scene: Go to the scene properties (top right), there to the "Properties" (the play symbol above the pen symbol), and in there, change the duration. Standard value is 5.00 seconds.

A) Directly in the Super Scene; this won't change the "conventional" source scene at all: Go to the timeline of your Super Scene, and activate the "stretch content when rezising blocks" function in there, it's the symbol with the little clock plus a two-sided arrow below it. If this one is activated, blocks won't get looped or cut off when you resize them, but instead get stretched/compressed. And that way, you will also change the speed of a scene, FX scenes included.

(The latter option is very helpful if you work with the beat grid for instance (a few symbols further right), to get your scenes aligned with the speed of the music in a very simple way.)

Hope that helps! 😊
