Hi - I have Das Light 5 (dvc fun). I am running in express mode.
As far as i can tell i should be able to have several scenes in one bank - at a basic level one red, one blue, one green. Then toggle through the scenes with the next scene button OR use advanced properties to play the scene N times (lets say 2) then jump to the next scene or a specific other scene.
Despite no amount of playing can i make it do this. It goes through the motion of switching the scene on the GUI but it doesn't actually change (the colour in this example). I assume that if i buy the full version i could do this in super scenes BUT surely i should be able to do this at basic level without super scenes. Am i doing something wrong or is this a bug?
Thanks
Novice question on next scene.
Re: Novice question on next scene.
OK follow up. SO i saw a post about thngs not working in EDIT vs LIVE node. Indeed this seems to be the case. THe next scene buttons don't seem to work in edit and also the auto switching to next scene doesn't work either. So the lastest is i got it to work in LIVE mode but notw EDIT. Sure these should work in EDIT mode too or am i missing something?
Thanks
Thanks
Re: Novice question on next scene.
Hello,
You are correct in thinking that the Edit mode is the issue here. The reason for this is that when you are in Edit mode, you are always seeing a 'preview' of whatever scene is selected. When you press the 'next' scene, or let the scene auto-jump, whatever scene was previously selected remains selected. So, despite the fact that another scene is playing now- you will still be seeing the 'preview' of the selected scene. This takes priority over whatever scene is playing, because the software thinks you are trying to 'edit' the scene (hence, being in 'edit' mode).
When Live mode is enabled, there is no 'preview'- which is why this works well.
Kind regards,
Will
