control via easy remote on tablet

Hi
Running a windows 7 laptop. Any ideas what is the best way to connect an android tablet so I can use easy remote.
Android does not support ad hoc over Wi-Fi it seems. Any advice welcome as need this facility.
It's a Samsung tablet by the way

I'd recommend getting hold of a mini WiFi router like this one:
