Bug report on effects with music file

Hello,

When I create an effect that is linked to a music file, that shall start playing with the effect, then I get the following error messages:

For MP3 File (Message shown exactly like here, with cutoff at end); message appears when specifying the MP3 file:
"Die angegebene Datei kann auf dem MCI-Gerät nicht wiedergegeben werden. Die Datei ist wahrscheinlich beschädigt, in einem ungül"

Specifying a WAV file works; but when using the effect, you get the following behavior:
- Popup with "MCI-Fehler Unbekannter Befehl."
- Wav file starts to play
- Repeated popup with "MCI-Fehler Unbekannter Befehl."

If the effect triggers a scene, which is made for the sound file, then the sound file and the scene run asynchronously.

System: Win 7 SP1 64-bit, No interface connected

Download the latest version, this bug has been fixed

Hello,

I downloaded today the latest version of DVC3. I cannot confirm that the bug is solved - exactly the same problem still occurs.

I normally uninstalled the old version and installed the new version.

You're using 27th July version? I can't reproduce this.

Yes, 27th July Version. Anything special that should be considered when uninstalling / reinstalling? DVC2 is installed as well on this computer.

After running the reinstall, like described in other MIDI thread with the following steps, the issue remains exactly as described. MP3 not playing at all; WAV playing only async with the twice "Unbekannter Fehler" (Unknown error) popup.

- Uninstalled DVC2 and DVC3
- Removed all remaining folders
- Removed everything out of registry that points to Daslight
- Rebooted PC
- Reinstalled July 27 version
- Run above test scenario; same issue

After some extra testing, it seems that the error is still occurring with certain files. We'll try and have it fixed in the next beta.
