I just installed the latest beta ov DVC2 but decided to install it in a different location than the normal DVC2... It worked and took control of the USB interface but now, seeing as I didn't like it as much as the last fuill release version, I deleted it again... Now when I run the original version, it can't find the UBS interface anymore!!! Tried uninstalling but still nothing!! Nothing appears in the interface toolbox either!!
How do I make the original install of DVC2 use the interface again?!?!?!!?!
ARGH!!! USB!!!
Well you could use a registery repair progarm to ensure unwanted keys in the registry are removed that might help.
I have got the Eusing Free Registry cleaner and it works well and have had no problems with it.

Ok what you could try is the following, I have not tried it. This is for XP, Vista should be similar.
Ensure that all of DVC2 is uninstalled and do the registry clean.
Go to Control Panel.
Double click the System icon.
Click the Hardware tab.
Click the Device Manager button.
Connect the DVC2 USB DMX interface and in the list of Devices under Universal Serial Bus controllers you should see the Intelligent Usb Dmx Interface.
Right click it and select Unistall.
When unistalled remove the DVC2 USB DMX interface.
If you get any add new hardware prompts cancel them.
Install the software and then connect the device and it should take you through installing the drivers again.
Let us know if this works.

Nope... didn't work...
I've tried everything! I've tried installing it via device manager as well as manually deleting the inf files etc... I've reinstalled the program, using different folder names too... I've cleared out everything from the registry that I can see relating to daslight...
I don't know what else to try!
It's as though the program now just thinks the USB device just doesn't exist anymore!! Stupid beta version!! Wish I'd never installed it...
