Daslight 5 FX not working

HI, I have the test version of Daslight 5 that I'm trialing on my myDMX3 before upgrading.
I'm trying to use the FX comands but they don't seem to be cyling as per the tutorial videos.
If I select say a movement FX then circle, I can see the circle but there is no movement and there is no effect.
All works in myDMX3 OK.
Is this a trail software restriction?

I've tried & tried but I just can't get Daslight 5 to the point I can test it.
I think I'm going to have to go with Onyx for my upgrade which is a shame, I like the idea of Daslight 5.
