Preventing any dmx being sent on a channel

Post by markcooper »

Hi

I have some mini moving heads (JB systems explorer) and the have a control channel where you can set the fixture to turn the lamp off when moving, changing colour and changing gobo. I had used this functionality in some scenes but have now removed any reference to those commands. However. It still sometimes blacks out on movement and colour/gobo change.

Is it possible these is something in the scenes I am missing?

Alternatively, is there a way to "mute" the dmx signal on that channel so nothing can be sent to the fixture?

Many thanks
Mark

Create an extra bank in which you have a scene for "lamp off when motion is detected" on and one for off. In these two scenes, just set the control channel to the corresponding value. This way you can always decide whether it should be on or off
