Beam Moving Head color no change
Although DASLIGHT5 shows the BEAM head color change, the visualization does not show the colors. Yet WASH heads are not a problem when controlling RGB, it works both in the program and in the visualization.
I noticed that in 2021 someone complained about the same problem. Is there any inventory of TODO bugs so that people don't write the same bugs over and over ?
video with problem here :

It is also interesting that, for example, the colored GOBO on the BEAM head is displayed. But the standard color change does not.

I have tried both modes. it doesn't matter whether LIVE mode is on or not. The color changes in the program, but not in the visualization.

Hello,
This is likely a fixture profile specific issue. Could you please send over the following:
- Send over the .dvc file and the .ev2 file too. Perhaps it is easiest to put both in a folder, then compress it to a .zip file.
- Send over the details of the fixture- specifically the exact file name and brand. Is this a fixture from our official library, or has it been downloaded from elsewhere?
Kind regards,
Will

Hello Will,
i sent mail to you with all what you need.
It is clear to me that in the multitude of manufacturers and types of lights it is almost impossible to keep everything at 100%.

Hello,
Thanks for your email! I have been able to replicate the problem. I can see that the profile was originally imported from an external source, so I would assume there are some errors in the file when it was originally made. When I add the profile into our profile builder tool, I notice that all of the colours appear empty- so I have made a fixed version of the file for you and attached it to this thread. Hopefully this helps!
Kind regards,
Will

push for color xF
Les couleurs ne sont pas systématiquement représenté, sauf qu'en réalité sur la lampe, les couleurs changent, j'ai eu le même souci

Re: Beam Moving Head color no change
Thanks to Will for editing the SSL2 file, there was a really small change, but nothing changed in functionality. The colors change in the program, but not in the visualization.
Question for Lionel ...
what do you mean by pressing "F" ? and where ?
I don't have any problem with the program so far except for the BEAM beam display.
Thank you.

Hello,
You may need to re-patch the profile into your EasyView project, since any .ev2 project file that was saved with the old profile will still contain that old profile's data. Ensure that when re-patching the fixture, you are using the version that has been updated (this may appear under the '_imported' brand).
Kind regards,
Will

Re: Beam Moving Head color no change
1. Open 3d Vizualization, load scene
2. Open DASLIGHT file and load scene
3. in 3D Visualization right click on the beam head and select "Update profile library"
4. 3D Vizualization crashed
The only thing left to do is to close daslight and reload everything. The 3D visualization will no longer open.

Hello,
Perhaps instead of using the 'Update profile library' button, you could completely delete the profile from the EasyView project, then re-patch it in manually this might work better for you.
If the software is not opening through the software, you could open it manually from the root folder- this should fix that issue and allow you to open the 3D view from within the software again.
Kind regards,
Will

Re: Beam Moving Head color no change
I apologize for the constant flow of messages into this thread, but
1. I started a brand new scene
2. I created a new 3D scene with new updated fixtures for Beam 295
3. In LIVE and EDIT mode I'm trying to change colors on the beam , the program responds completely correctly, the 3D visuals are still white.
Interestingly though, if I have a 4-color GOBO mode in the fixture settings , it shows up in the visualization perfectly correctly
I'll try some more in SSL2 editor to assign some property to the color channel that the visualization could "catch" but ...

Re: Beam Moving Head color no change
May be a stupid reply, I'm sorry if so, but have you tried using preset colors for the Beam?
Beam lights, especially older or low cost ones, do not use LED's as light source, but a special light "bulb", like 10R, 15R etc.
Therefore, beams use a color wheel to change the color of the light beam. It's basically just a wheel holding multiple colored gels.
That's why some beam lights can't properly handle RGB input. They simply can't mix red green and blue because the colors are pre-defined by the available colorwheel colors.
Washers are usually always LED's and therefore fully RGB capable.
So, in short, try to use the predefined colors from within the "color" section.

However, I have a strong feeling that I might have misunderstood your question. I'm sorry if that's the case.

Re: Beam Moving Head color no change
I'm sorry... solved. But.
Even when I updated in the existing scene fixture moving heads, it did not show up in the 3D visualization. i When I clicked on update profiles. Nothing.
Only deleting the heads completely ( losing the scene fixtures ) and adding 2 pcs of heads again helped. Then everything is working fine now.
So the result is. It works.
