Daslight 5 freeze - corrupted file lost!

I currently have a big problem for which I need a solution very quickly.

I'm currently creating a lightshow and testing a few scenes in live mode. The GUI of Daslight 5 is frozen (but only the view). I was able to click (but blindly). So I decided to save the project and restart Daslight 5.

Daslight 5 said when I opened the project that the file was corrupt or that I did not have the necessary rights to open the file.

When I restarted Daslight 5, I realized that the file was no longer in the recently opened files.

The file can also no longer be found in the folder.

This can't be true! I am very annoyed that 10 hours of work have now simply disappeared! How can I restore the file or find it in the first place? What has Daslight 5 done with it?

I don't have anything that can help here, unfortunately, but I also had this problem happen to me earlier this year.

I just started making a copy of the dvc file every hour or two to prevent losing the progress.

My best guess is that the file got corrupted on saving in such a way that the file system doesn't recognize it anymore.

I even tried several different file recovery programs, and nothing worked.

I hope you find a solution! If so, I would love to hear about it.

If you could please raise a ticket at help.daslight.com and include the .dvc file- we can send the file to the developers to check, and hopefully clear any corruption which may allow us to recover some of the project, but this is always subject to some amount of data loss.

As mentioned above, it is always good to store a backup where possible to avoid this happening in the future.

If you had read my post completely, you would have realized that I do NOT have a file but that it is completely lost.

@Bella035
- nothing in the temporary files
- nothing recoverable
- user permissions are ok
- support can nothing do for me

I have given up looking for the file and am quite annoyed right now.
