One position different speed

Post by musiker97 »

I have saved a position for the moving heads so that they all illuminate the drummer. I want to play this scene at different speeds. Unfortunately, I don't know how to do that. I only want to save the position once, otherwise I would have to change several scenes for each performance.

Hello,

In the scene Properties window, you can find a 'Speed' dial. Controlling this value should allow you to set different speeds for the scene without having multiple versions.

Hopefully this helps, but if you have any further questions at all please do let us know!

Kind regards,
Will

Hello,

Most software features can be controlled via MIDI, yes. If you follow these steps, you should be able to set this up:

- Connect your controller to your computer.
- Go to the Daslight 5 Settings screen, then find MIDI/Audio/BPM.
- In the Devices list, expand the option for your MIDI controller and then enable MIDI In and MIDI Out, then close Settings.
- Press the MIDI Mappings button (found in the top right corner of the screen, or under the Mappings section of the toolbar).
- Select a function that has the purple overlay (i.e. a scene or fader), then trigger the desired button on the MIDI controller.

This should now show a new mapping for your function that is linked to your controller. You can close the MIDI Mappings window and test this. More information on MIDI mappings can be found in the Daslight 5 user manual for reference.

Kind regards,
Will
