I have a scene with a (long) step sequence for animating LEDs on a single fixture. I want to create a version of that which fades out then releases. I can't add a dimmer curve (or any other effect) to a step scene. I can run a second fade-out scene but then would need to stop the step scene when that completes. Is that even possible? So is the only alternative to hand-compute the dimmer values at each step and move the slider accordingly? That would be painful and there could be glitch when switching the scene. This is a common thing to do, so would be nice if the software helped!
I've already tried using fades in a SuperScene and that has caused issues. Using the fade handles also seems to drive the pan/tilt of my LED fixtures - I want the fade only to affect the LEDs.

Re: How to fade out a step sequence
Hello,
1) It is possible to have a scene release after 1 cycle within the Advanced Properties of the scene. Change the Loop setting from 'Infinite' to 'N', then set the loop count to 1, ensuring that 'Release at end' is enabled.
2) You could also use the actual Dimmer automation points within the Super Scene, rather than the scene Fade Out function. This can be done by expanding the track (press the right pointing arrow next to the track number), then set the automation points on the Dimmer track and adjust the fade out as you like.
Hope this helps!
Kind regards,
Will
