MIDI mapping issues

Hi there,

I am using an Ayra Digicon-1 linked with Daslight 5 and for some reason when I map some of the buttons with scenes they work for a while then suddenly stop working and if I remap them it changes the channel…. This happens even when daslight is running continuously.

Any tips to stop this happening as it’s rather irritating.

This is really strange- not seen this one before. What version of Daslight are you using and what operating system version are you running?

Do you have any idea how frequently this issue occurs and is it a regular problem, or random?

It would be good to know:

- When you map the buttons the first time around, is this the same as when you have to re-map the buttons? (i.e. if you map a button with note1, then the mapping changes to note10, then you have to re-map it to note1). The alternative to this is that the value the button is sending is different when you re-map the buttons (i.e. if you map a button with note1, then the mapping stays at note1, then you have to re-map it to note10).

- Is there any particular function or action that usually seems to trigger this?

- If possible, a video/some images demonstrating this would be very useful!

- Does this happen in all project files, or just in a specific file?

I am running windows 11 home and daslight 5.0.4.2 (I have tried to update it always seems to crash the program on install and then do nothing)

I’m sat programming a show for this weekend as we speak and it’s happened about 4/5 times already today. It seems to be only on the scenes that control my moving head movement fx

I’ve noticed it on a few different shows I’ve made.

I have just figured something out. On the Ayra Digicon-1 I haven’t currently mapped the top line BANK buttons and if i click on the same number as the channel the midi map is set to then the mapped button which I have on the next 1-8 buttons on the 2nd line of buttons (flash) then starts working again.

To address MIDI mapping issues, Geometry Dash ensure your MIDI channels are not conflicting and update both your Ayra Digicon-1 firmware and Daslight 5 software to the latest versions. Try resetting and remapping your MIDI settings and check Daslight’s configuration to ensure everything is set correctly.
