Daslight DVC2 doesn't start

The installation on Windows 7 was succesfull, with no errros, but the software doesn't start. In the Applikation Protokoll there is an error that dvc2.exe could not start. It's a fresh installation off Windows 7 32 Bit on a Netbook.

Any Ideas?

I had the same problem after reinstalling windows 7 64 bit, seems like a bug with 22/09/2010 version

Digging about in the daslight downloads folder I found the link below it is a version form march 2010 and works fine, have a look around in the download folder if you want a version more up to date (no grantees there is one) but i'm happy with this

Great, now i've installed the old Version and it works fine! Thank you very much for your help. I also think that is a problem with the 22/09/2010 Version!

It just won't start on windows 7 Pro 64bit, on an almost clean install.

Can you confirm that this problem still exists with the 29th october version uploaded yesterday afternoon. It seems to be fine for me.


If you are still having issues opening the software... try renaming the "show.dvc" in the light projects folder to "Myshow.dvc".

same problem. Drag & drop a random file or saved daslight file to the daslight shortcut and it works here.
