MIDI MAPPING | Colors?

Post by Maxuser4 »

Good day everyone!
I am pretty new to Daslight, but I noticed a big difference in MIDI mapping between Daslight 4 and 5.
I have an AKAI APC Mini Mk2, and I like the buttons to light up when i'm using it with Daslight.
When mapping it on Daslight 4, it asks for color details, while in Daslight 5 it does not. (I will attach an example screenshot)

Is there a new way of doing so or is the feature just not available?
Please let me know.
Wishing everyone a great day!

make sure you have midi out selected on the apc mini mk2.

But dalight does allow you to send velocity out to the pad which changes color. However daslight 5 doesnot allow you to change channel on the midi out note (which on most pads effect brightness and dimming) like das4 which is very annoying and I hope they fix this soon and add this in daslight 5.

Hello,
You can duplicate the Mapping and change the channel on the second :

you can do this without duplicating the mapping by just selecting (ON) in the drop down, changing the velocity, then select (OFF) and changing that velocity and it still is two different colors, Which is fine and a really weird way of doing that instead of just two boxes one over the other for on and off. However you still can not change the Out Channel, you can change in but not out where controllers like the akai apc mini mk2 use the out channel to adjust brightness. Right now the default is channel 1 on the outgoing channel which on most controllers is only 10% Brightness
