Hello there,
I searched quite a lot in the last days to find out more about Artnet with Daslight 5 and couldn't find answers to these questions:
1. Can I use Artnet with Daslight without buying a license for the Interface?
2. When I need a license and bought it: Can I use Artnet over the PC or do I always need the Interface plugged into the PC or even have to use the Ethernet-Port in the Interface to use it?
3. Is it possible to use an external Visualizer (for example also for VJ-stuff) over Artnet with Daslight 5? What will I need for that?
I hope I can find a few answers here. Daslight5 has been an amazing improvement to Daslight 4 and I am interested in reaching its full potential!

Re: Question: What will i need for Artnet?
1. No, you need a physical interface at the moment.
2. The interface also serves as a license dongle, so you always need to have it connected even when using only ArtNET outputs. You connect the network with your ArtNET devices to the PC, not to the interface. The network port on some of the interfaces is essentially a replacement for the usb cable, it’s not an ArtNET output
3. I don’t have any experience with external visualizers but if it has regular ArtNET inputs I don’t see any reason why it wouldn’t work. You may not be able to enable it at the same time as your physical ArtNET output devices due to license constraints.

Re: Question: What will i need for Artnet?
Ok thank you very much, that clears a lot of my questions!
To add one more:
Is it possible to use the Artnet-Output for something like a visualizer while using the physical DMX-Output of the interface to control real fixtures? So using the same universe and outputted signals on both virtual and real devices? Or can a universe just output to one of the two types of output?

Yes, you can output the same universe (simultaneously) over both ArtNET and physical interfaces.
