Hello together,
I have got a question concerning the effect editor or more precisely the list of fixtures that are used for creating the effect. I know that it is possible to change the order of the fixtures for the effect. But I would like to create a colour fading for all fixtures, so all par cans change the colour at the same time. I know that I could do this by using by steps, but I’m searching for an easier way to do this with the effect editor.
SO the question is: Is it possible to select all fixtures at once with the same selection ID, or is there any other way to create an effect like this?
I hope you have got ideas or tips for me!
Selection ID/Order for the effect editor
Re: Selection ID/Order for the effect editor
Hi, To create this effect, select your fixtures, choose color effect, turn up the dimmer, then in the rainbow effect change color width to 100. then change the angle to 90. That will give you your desired effect.

Hello,
Yes, you can make an rect selection with the Alt key pressed.
The alt key with fixture selection block the Id increment.

Thank you for your replies. Both things worked fine for me.
Especially the tip with the Alt Key was pretty helpful. Also, if it is still not possible to fully customize the order of the fixtures, it makes things a lot easier.

By fully customize, I mean the possibility to change the ID of each fixture like I want. For example, I would like to have the first two devices with the selection ID 1, the next two devices with the selection ID 2 and so on...

Hello together,
Unfortunally I'm not as far along as you guys yet. I would like to change the order of the fixtures for an effect, but so far I don't know how. Currently, the effect runs through the fixtures in the order I added them, or the different types of fixtures one after the other. But actually the fixtures are in a different order. How can I tell the effect in which order the fixtures are actually located? In the graphical overview at the bottom right of the window, I have already put the fixtures in the correct order.
Thanks for your help.

Select effect for editing - select devices in the 2-D view in the desired order - Red FX button at the top right of the 2-D window.
