Faders turning on by themselves
Faders turning on by themselves
Hi. I have a pair of generic chinese 280w "10r"s. I ran into an issue while programming where it seems whenever i touch one of the faders in live mode, the color wheel enables and sets to white. Making the whole software completely useless to me.
Since it is a generic light, I tried all the similar ssl's i could find, all having the same issue. Guessing this applies to other fixtures aswell. Daslight 4 does not have this issue. Also tested on several installs and pc's.
I made a gif of the issue: https://gyazo.com/6a15889d1b0c76da844c3a7a9229ad0a
I would also mention that when using the turning knobs on the APC40 mk1, the software freezes for a second. After that it moves the faders in software so delayed that it is unusable. The APC40's main faders acts as it should.
Cheers.

Hello,
Do you know when the next beta version will be released?
Re: Faders turning on by themselves
Any idea when this will be solved. I try to use the Phantom 75 led and has the same problem.

Re: Faders turning on by themselves
Same here. 4 has to much restriction and drawbacks. Looks 5 does a much better job.
I'm coming from martin light jockey what worked really good for me.
Need a easy to controle system with a board with colors, movements, flashes, gobos.
strobe, smoke and blind buttons.
So everyone can easy controle a set in a bar. but also do some nice live control to spicy it up.
This software looks the best in opinion and alternatives all are restricted somehow

Re: Faders turning on by themselves
Work around.
If you make a step scene this problem doesnt happen
use one step, edit it, disable the automatic added fader ch and done

Re: Faders turning on by themselves
I have a set Phantom 75 led moving heads
bank 1 shutter function, open, strobe, running light
- when activated the open shutter scene the color channel went to white
- when activated the strobe shutter scene the color channel went to white
- when activated the step running light shutter scene the color channel was not changed to white
So then I figured out a stepe scene didn't affect the color channel.
changed the open and strobe scene to a step scene with only one step. This solved the issue with the shutter scenes.
bank 5 had background scenes. Dimmer open for the moving heads. When moving a patched midi fader this static scene also changed the color.
Changed the scene to a step scene and this is now also solved.
It's not the way but it is a work around I guess

Re: Faders turning on by themselves
Okay this work around is not always working, sometimes the step scene appear to change and color is affected again.
Also bank 2 has movement, movingheads go in a circle, this is a static scene with an effect so again colors are set to white when starting this scene only this time when I click a scene and look in the editor the color marker doesnt turn green

Re: Faders turning on by themselves
next problem. When I click the open shutter step scene color stays the same until I move a midi fader changing the dimmer
Now eveytime a click the stepping scene again they turn white again, so the step scene only work till you change the dimmer and the last open scene is infected again
Useless like this, to bad. I hoped the work around would work
