OK getting into deep water here. yesterday I started to rework my old p floyd show. Had the scenners at the end of a song in full brightness. So individually with a 2 second scene/step fade, I decided to dim them to zero(Value 1).
The usual method of doing this is to create a fresh scene with dimmer value set to "1" with a 2 sec step fade. After doing this to all 14 scanners
I ran the scene and to my suprise all dimmed down within the first step.
after a lot of checking. I discovered that in editor mode between each step
all the dimmer sliders flash down to zero then back up.
My final soultion, which is incredibly long winded, was to set all the dimmers to full, and dim them individually. OK but I have about 200 scenes all with dimmi9ng and this is going to take me forever.
So my question is, can someone at Daslight give me a stable version of the software for the show as it opens in one week and I am panicking.
I am currently running the beta software, would going back to the latest stable solve this problem?

Hey Richard, could be way off here, but I think you may be looking for the scene Fade In/Fade Out.
I haven't really worked with it that much, so you may want to play around with the values a bit. I think that if you set the end of the song to a 2s fade out and the fade in of the dark scene to 2s, they should overlap and give the effect you're looking for. It looks right in the Visualizer that way....

Hrrmm...I'm running into a similar issue, only it's not necessarily with dimmer fader. I was playing around with pausing/restarting the show and noticed some odd effects interposing themselves into the show.
Now that I have used pause in my current show, every once in a while (when I change scenes) my movers will suddenly shift position (and change color). I'd say they are oddly *remembering* past positions/settings, but I hadn't made any color changes. I was just playing around with positioning.
Truly odd....especially considering if I step through the scene, it reflects nothing like what I'm seeing. Unfortunately, it seems relatively random and doesn't do it on every scene change, sometimes waits a step-or-three....
I'm in an unfortunate position of having to reprogram my whole show now which = not happy. But, suffice it to say, I won't be pausing the show any time soon.

The only problem with scene fad in/ fade out is that all the scene channels do this, ie. pan and tilt. so at fade out all the beam positions move , this is not the desired effect. This will work only if the scene only contains shutter/dimmer information.

I also have this problem with pause. so I have introduced a scene with static positions and colours and a slight 1 sec fade in (and out), so the lights don't "snap" to position. the colours i have chosen are a midway point in the colour wheel, again to prevent too much of a snap, this works OK.
Because the pause function is no good as it freezes the entire program and you cant adjust dimmers or any other parameter whilst in pause mode.
