Ive been setting up daylight (via Cameo) on a nightclub that is to open soon. Since LightJockey is no more, dasLight is by far the best software to use such places (i think;) ).
Setting up the ShowRoom with buttons on a touch-monitor is giving us headaches like hell. It seems that the software cannot handle multi-touch or some other bug is going on in the software. After a while the software thinks that there is being touched on the monitor repeatedly and several places, causing our nightclubs to really fckup .
I made a couple of videos showing this, which i will share with you.

We’d really love to use your software from here on on the many clubs that we build, so i hope this issue can be fixed.

Hello,
I’ve tried to reproduce this behaviour with my showfile on my Dell Notebook with Touch Display. But for me everything works fine with out any problems for at least 2 hours.
Greetings
Stephan

Hello,
Thank you for testing this, Stephan.
I'm afraid I still haven't received the file.

Re: Daslight ShowRoom and Touchmonitors (BUG)
Hi there.
Sorry for not getting back, but we had an opening of a venue and had to prioritise this.
Meanwhile, i found out what the “bug” is. It has nothing to do with touch-screens or such.
It is a TCP/IP issue when running dasLight on two PC’s on the same Ethernet network.
The way i found out this was by running both machines. When one of the pc’s started to go crazy on the show-buttons, the other PC dies as well. If i pulled out on of the PCs net cable, both PCs started to work again with no buttoned being pressed.
So there is no doubt in my mind, the problem is tcp/ip when running 2 PCs on one network.
Do you have any clues if there is a fix i can do so that I don’t have to take one of the PC’s offline?

Re: Daslight ShowRoom and Touchmonitors (BUG)
Hello Alagami,
first of all the question, which interface do you use for Daslight?
As for the TCP/IP problem, how are the machines configured? Do they get an IP address via DHCP, via a reservation at the DHCP server or is the IP address entered locally on the computer.
Also, as far as I know, only one instance of Daslight can access the interface at a time. So if there is no problem with a duplicate IP address, then it should be enough to stop Daslight on the machine you don't need.
I hope this might help you to solve your problem.

Re: Daslight ShowRoom and Touchmonitors (BUG)
Both PC’s are running Windows 10.
Both are connected to a Cameo DVC Cue via USB.
The Cameo’s are not connected to Lan. Only the PC’s.
The PCs gets an IP from a DHBC server. They have never had the same IP-address.
IP: 192.168.3.xxx
Gateway: 192.168.1.1
Sub: 255.255.248.0
The reason that i am stating the this is an error on the tcp/ip network is because when one of them is “going crazy”, the other one does it as well at the same second, And when i stop one of them by shutting down the software, the other start working proper again.
I have tested this again this morning, and it is the same. My quick fix will be to give the two PCs a static IP, blocking each other via firewall - hopefully that should work. But i am hoping that you guys may find some bug in there that will be fixed since we plan to use your software for all future projects. We build 12 to 20 clubs per year and as we all know LightJockey is dead

Re: Daslight ShowRoom and Touchmonitors (BUG)
Hello Alagami,
i think the problem is the simultaneous access to the interface.
When I start Daslight on my first system, I get the interface displayed as online (dvc-01) in the settings under "Devices". If I now start Daslight on a second system and also look at "Devices" in the settings, then no interface (dvc-02) is displayed there.
I have the DVC4 Gold interface, which should be identical in construction to the Cameo interface. However, I do not know if there is a difference in the firmware. Therefore I would recommend you to contact the support directly.
