Get a fixture och Channel in a fixture to be OFF...

Post by Deejay_Bamse »

When I start program a new Scene for example with 4 of my 8 Movingheads I dont want the other 4 and none of my other fixtures to be in the new Scene. Maby I have programed my Scanners before and I dont want them to be in the new program... HOW do I turn OFF all fixtures? Open the shutter to se the beam but the Shutter shouldnt been saved in the new Scene.. Like the Awolites controllers I can turn of a fixture or a Channel in the fixture That I have to use for programming but dont want to be saved...

Daslight recognises a channel as being OFF if the fader is at 0%. If you set all your faders for the 4 moving heads to off, they should be ignored.

And if you want the new scene to physically turn off a light I find it useful to set the shutter/dimmer channel to a value of 1.

Yes good point. This is a bit irritating sometimes, an OFF command would be preferable.

Yes sometimes 0 (zero) is ignored, especially step to step. Other times it is not ignored.
Personally I think the programmers have got it wrong in saying that 0 (zero) means no change, because in reality it is not.

I spoke to the developers about this yesterday, they're going to implement an OFF state in the next release
