Preventing any dmx being sent on a channel
Hi I have some mini moving heads (JB systems explorer) and the have a control channel where you can set the fixture to turn the lamp off when moving, changing colour and changing gobo. I had used this functionality in some scenes but have now removed any reference to those commands. However. It stil...

Re: Fixture index
Thanks for your reply. Hey Mark! You should be able to highlight the fixtures in the specific order by dragging the selection tool in a specific direction, or as you mentioned you can do this by holding CMD/Ctrl then selecting beams individually (or press CMD+Option on Mac, Ctrl+Alt on Windows to se...

Fixture index
Hi I am trying to use the sweep colour FX on some chauvet freedom sticks but I am having huge issues getting them to light up in the order I want! I have tried drawing a box upwards and downwards over the whole fixture but it doesn't make any difference to the order of the fixture index. There just ...

Superscene - fade between static scenes on movers
Hi I have got 2 static scenes for my movers - one pointing downstage right and one downstage left. I want it to slowly move between the two. I know can create a normal scene that will do this, but ideally I want to use a superscene as the normal scenes that feed it are a bit like pallettes, which da...

Midi out
Hi I wondered if daylight was able to trigger midi out from a button so that I could digger a program change in a Roland drum pad (different drum kit) for a different song? I have looked in the manual but not really any info on midi out (think it's just designed for feedback to midi controllers) If ...

Re: Swapping out fixtures
My current issue is that I need to swap an existing fixture which doesn't work on the visualiser (it has a colour wheel and RGB and apparently daslight cannot handle that. The fixture is now broken down into 3 separate fixtures (channels are all the same). Unfortunately I cannot just replace these w...

Re: Swapping out fixtures
It seems like it can't be done then. Or more to the point won't be done because they don't want to code it. I really like some a lot of the features of this software but it is also limited in so many ways, which is a shame as it's not that cheap. If it wasn't for the fact I want midi control and may...

Swapping out fixtures
I have been speaking to the very helpful Gabriel M, who makes the fixture profiles. He has kindly split my eurolite kls scan bar into 3 fixtures (1 for spots and one each for scans) as the original wouldn't visualise correctly as it had a colour wheel and rgbw channels. I want to swap out the origin...

Scanner calibration
Hi
My scanners don't have any built in calibration. Is there a way to do this in daslight? Perhaps some form of offset?

Inspiration for scanner movement scenes
Hi I am setting up a master cue list for my band and am looking for some inspiration for movement scenes for 4 scanners. Does anyone know of of a repository of general scenes for daslight that could be repurposed or does anyone have anything the wouldnt mind sharing? I have quite a few line and circ...

Hi
I have a lighting bar which has pars and scans on it. The profile works it 2d but the scanners do not work o. The 3d visualiser - it doesn't recognise the movement. Anyone have any ideas?

Eurolite kls scan next fx
Hi
I am using the fixture profile for the above. In the 3d viewer the colours seem to work and recognises the gobo changes but the pan and tilt and colours on the spots don't seem to do anything. Is there a way to alter the profile to get it to work properly?

Merge (append) scenes
I want to use various fixed position scenes to create steps in a new scene (eg one scene movers facing forwards and the next backwards) I gather in daslight 4 you could select two scenes and it would append one to the other giving 2 steps. This doesn't seem to be available in daslight 5. Is there a ...
