Feature Request: Exporting / Printing a patch List

Hello everyone :)

I've stumbled upon a missing feature which was requested in really old posts from 2018.
Unfortunately, till this day, we didn't get it.

The idea

Unfortnuately, Daslight does not give us an option which allows exporting, or printing, a Patch list.
By Patch List I mean a table that shows all patched fixtures, including their vendor, name and address.
So basically a printed version of the "Setup" Patch view.

Why we need it

Exporting the patchlist to a PDF, or even CSV or JSON, would be super helpful when it comes to adressing fixtures.
Those working with larger setups know the issue ...
You have several guys running up and down the truss to set the correct DMX adresses and channel modes, and it's always exhausting.

"Beam one is 16 channel on 210"
"WHAT? 10 Channel on 116?"

You get the point ...

It would be super helpful to have the ability to export the patch list so that everyone involved has a list which they can use to set up adresses.
Also, if you're working with multiple lighting guys, it would really help because you could simply share the patch with them so that they don't have to go through the process of looking up aaaaal the fixtures adresses.

Would be super nice if we could finally get this after the first request has been raised seven years ago.

Thanks and best regards! :)

I'm thinking about developing a tool which can export a patch list based on the save file.

Now I'm wondering - Has anyone ever tried to understand, or maybe even tinkered with, the .dvc save files?
They appear to be in XML format and can be opened in any text editor.

I've pasted a save file of a sample project which just contains one patched moving head fixture without any scenes here: https://pastebin.com/s1QyBpJ6

Unfortunately, I can't find the DMX addresses for defined fixtures 🙁
Does anyone have an idea on where to find that in the .dvc file?

I'd guess it's in the encoded <PATCHS DATA> attribute.

Any help would be appreciated!

if the authors of the daslight stretch the DMX channels starting with the device name into a simple XML structure, even a small child can print :)
( that is, I'll do the printing )

Author ... it's an afternoon's work .. what do you think ? :)

Totally agree! Exporting the patch list would save so much time and confusion on big setups. It's a basic feature that really should be there by now. Fingers crossed it finally gets added! Crazy Cattle 3D

I solve that problem by pressing the "connect" button in the Daslight Remote app. Then you get a nice list with all fixtures, addresses, universes below each other. Even when I work alone, it is handy when you are in the truss, and have forgotten the address...
