Fixture profile question

Hi all,

I’m sure this is a silly question but hey, hopefully someone can point me in the right direction!

I have some ledpars, RGBWA +UV with zoom.
The ssl2 that should work is not correct, right channels but in the wrong order.
I have made a correct (i hope) profile in profile builder but I can not seem to get that profile in my DAS light software…
So, if someone knows how to do that, any help would be appreciated!
Alternatively, if anyone knows of any fixtures that have the same dmx footprint, I could try those fixture profiles.
The dmx channels are as follows:
1: intensity
2: red
3: green
4: blue
5: white
6; amber
7: UV
8: Strobe
9: color macro
10: zoom
11: zoom speed

Again, any help would be appreciated!
thanks in advance,
Bastiaan

Hi Bastian,

There are two main solutions for this:

1) The simplest (and most oldschool) way is this: Download the .ssl2 file from the profile builder, then go to Daslight > SETUP > "Import a fixture file from your disk" (two symbols to the right from the search bar on the left). The file will then automatically land in the "Imported" folder and you can use it by choosing it from there on the list. (You might need to refresh the library first, with the button right next to the import button.)

(If that doesn't work at any point, please check if the downloaded file really ends with ".ssl2" - I had this issue before with strangely named fixtures, and then wondered for minutes why it wouldn't show up.) 🙃

2) You can also go directly to the "cloud+person" symbol, called "Display your user cloud fixtures". Here you can login (via an external browser window), and afterwards you should see all your created fixtures that are located on the cloud.

Please let me know if that have worked - cheers! 🙋‍♂️

Hi everyone,

Is there a way to verify that the fixture profile I created in the Profile Builder matches the DMX block blast channel configuration required by DAS Light?

Hi Mayer,

The Profile Builder uses all channel types that can be read by Daslight, so there is little that can go wrong providing that the profile is set up as per the requirements for your fixture.

If you like, I can take a look at the fixture profile and the DMX tables as found within the user manual of your fixture to see if everything looks correctly set up? You can attach all relevant files either directly to this thread (you will need to add this as a .zip folder), or via a Google Drive/WeTransfer/Dropbox link.

Kind regards,
Will

Looking at the profile builder, how do we do K colour temps and also we need RBG and A and L? Can't see these at all in any of the presets.
