Hi all, I'm new to DMX lighting software so I apologise if this is a silly question, and I did try and search for an answer before posting.
When I click a scene I obviously want this to 'play' and the effects to be visible on the related fixtures, however when I click the scene again to deactivate it I want the scene to stop and for the fixture to have no output, rather than just pausing the scene and displaying whatever colour or effect was playing.
Of course when I select another scene the output switches to it and plays whatever effects I have setup, but when no scene is currently active I just want no light/effects etc from the fixture.
I have tried the various release modes but none of these appear to do what I want, am I doing something wrong or is there a way to achieve this?
I have also thought about having a 'blank' scene that has no output and for the fixtures to play this blank scene whenever a scene is stopped.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Re: Deactivate Scene - Stop Output From Fixture?
Ok, it appears to depend on how I add a scene to a fixture.
With the fixture highlighted I can add a scene and click on it so that it's selected, then in edit mode click the "turn beam on" icon, the fixture preview then shows white beams.
Then if I add an effect it works as expected, in the live view mode the fixture preview only displays any output when the scene is activated and goes black/blank when deactivated.
This is the way I want/expect it to work, so i must have been doing things in a different way previously.
This tutorial shows how I want it to function and how i now have it working: https://youtu.be/3aQdeHclq1g?si=ln4Sgpea0PQY4xfq&t=204

Re: Deactivate Scene - Stop Output From Fixture?
Hello,
If you switch from Edit to Live mode, you will now be able to see the behaviour that you desire. The reason for this is that when you are in Edit mode, you are always seeing a preview of the selected scene. Since there is always a scene selected, this means that turning a scene off will not necessarily mean that the fixtures will blackout. If you are in Live mode however, there is no preview of a selected scene- so you should be able to turn on/off scenes as you desire.
Kind regards,
Will
