DVC GOLD port triggering

Hi altogether,
I'm still struggling to send UDP signals to the DVC Gold, so I wanted to try to use the pins instead.
In a manual for Sunlite Suite 3 (https://eu-litterature.n-g.co/Release/s ... ual_en.pdf, page 86) triggering a similar interface is explained, only with 10 pins. There, it says on page 87 how to trigger e.g. scenes in standalone mode. To do that, a binary system is used (see matrix on that page) to use 8 ports to trigger up to 255 "buttons".
Does the DVC GOLD use the same logic to address/trigger even more "buttons" (as there are 20 pins), or is a different system used? A detailed guide about how to trigger scenes/addresses via the pins would be highly appreciated, just as the one sent for the UDP question.
Thanks in advance!
Best regards
