It shouldn't crash the system, especially as it is a separate exe it should be impossible for it to crash DVC2.

Try a different soundcard and let me know how you get along.

I use this one: Intel 82801CAM ICH3-M - AC'97 Audio Controller [B-1] PCI
on my Thinkpad A31p ... and testet it with a "Reloop Spin Audio Interface", too. After I installed all updates, the analyzer works fine. But when I open the Options, it crash. On my Win7 Computer (Thinkpad L520) there are no problems.

Try running the audio analysis as administrator. We have had some reports of problems with the audio analyser when it is being run with Windows XP under a USER account. We are looking to get this fixed soon.

I`m running it as administrator, but nothing is better.

PS: I think I know what it is. When I change the priority in the taskmanager to "Real Time", it works without any problems. Now 2 hours are left, its going on and on...

What do you mean with "real time".

I dont know that you can change the priority in task manager.
Its only a screen.

1. You open the task manager and go to "processes" or "tasks"? I don`t no the word in english :)
2. When you open the audio analyzer, you can see in the task manager "audioanalyzer.exe"
3. Now right klick on this process, go to "priority". You can decide there between "normal", "High", "Higher" and "Real Time". In German: "Echtzeit"
4. So it should work with these settings.

Do you know the problem of the audio analyzer or when it will be fixed?

And I have one more request for you :)
Can you describe the options of the new audio analyzer with one more Words, instead of these little sentences, please?
I try to find a setting, where the break of a track will be recognized automatically 8)

To stop sending beats automatically, select the options checkbox and then de-select the box which says "always send beats".

To find out more about the advanced options, see the tutorial here:
http://www.nicolaudie.com/nicolaudietv/ ... tut=suite2

I will add a similar one to the daslight tutorials and DVC3 manual soon
