Can I use USB/MIDI Fader Extensions or the like?

I've been working for years now with the DVC1.
The only thing missing would be a hardware extension for quicker access to certain faders in a live situation.
Is it possible to use controllers like e.g. the ELATION MIDICON USB MIDI-CONTROLLER or MIDI equipment in general?
If it is, please provide their names or a how-to for both DVC1 and DVC2.
USB devices such as num-pads should work I suppose?
Thanx!!!

DVC2 allows you to trigger the following with midi:
-Control a DMX output fader
-Activate a scene
-Stop a scene
-Control the speed of a scene
-Pause your show in live
-Skip to the next scene in live
-Trigger a group
-Show the light beam
-Make a selection

More MIDI functionality will be available in DVC3 later this year

Tools->shortcuts->groups

Type the midi control (or I think you can also click in the midi box and activate the midi command ont he controller and it automatically pairs, can't remember)

No Simon not those groups, the groups of scenes. as per the new turn all scenes in a group on modification.

I suppose one way would be to assign a midi note to all scenes in a group, but is there a limitation as to the number of scenes that can be triggered, ie 5 as per keyboard shortcuts?
