Hello,

after installing the latest security of Mac OS Big Sur (Version 11.3.1) Daslight crashes immediately when you want to start it!
I send a crash report from the dialog within the program. Please fix this as soon as possible!

i tried some things and got a workaround to solve my/this problem.
These are the steps I done:

1. Uninstall/Delete Daslight 4 from the Mac
2. Delete all folder from Daslight 4
3. Reboot the Mac
4. Install Daslight 4
5. Reboot the Mac
6. Run Daslight 4

Thank you for reporting this.
Just a thought... Daslight4 can't have been different between two installs of the same package. This leads me to thinking there might have been something happening during the install of the latest security package, as in "permissions" issue.

We will be looking into this, but glad you got your D4 to work on your computer again.

I also think that Apple has made some changes at the security/permissions.

By the way, are there any news to the new build of Daslight 4 you spoke about a few weeks ago?

Hi tom,

I want to install daslight 5 on my imac big sur (11.7.10)
but then I get the same error code that Stephan also had, I also took the same steps so again uninstall daslight from my imac, i have reboot and reinstall but it does not work. I also downloaded the version for big sur 11 and above but that didn't work either.

Could you maybe help me solve this problem so I can enjoy using the program.

I am having the same issue Daslight 5 crashing on Mac OS Big Sur 11.7.10

Sorry about that. For a short period of time our software was no longer compatible with Big Sur.
Adapting to the latest versions of MacOS can sometimes be a tricky exercice, which can lead to this kind of issue.
You should now be able to download a fixed version now on our website.
