I was just wondering how exactly does the two universes work? I have used consoles with two universes and they have two data lines running out. How would you use the two universes with the DVC2 Gold interface? Would you need an "xlr sex change" adapter to change the DMX in to an out? Forgive my ignorance, but I plan on upgrading to this soon and just want to make sure I completely understand it..

yes you will need an adaptor, and then in the tools drop down menu, select interfaces, you will see the dvc gold is set to universe out, and below universe 1 in, this you change to universe 2 out. Job done.
in the set up tab the universes are tabs one behind each other at the top of the display.
