Lost server (no remote app) during a live show

Hi, so i was controlling my show live using a midi controller and the remote app.
After 20 minutes of use the remote app stopped working.
I tried with no avail:
- Restart Daslight 4
- Restart iPad
- Other iPad
I then continued using the mouse on the show mode and after 30/45 minutes the remote app started working again.
I wonder why i lost the server. Could it be:
- A problem in windows 7?
- A problem in the network? (i was also using the same router for a table mixer)
- Hardware not strong enough? (I was using a 2010 HP Elitebook 4Gb Ram, 2nd gen. Core i5 dual core, ssd and windows 7 64 bit)
- Too much buttons packed in one tab?
My router was next to me so i exclude wireless signal.
As a suggestion, it would be great if i could use 2 touch screens with 1 tab each one and being able to control several functions without relying in wireless network.
