DVC4 GZM slows down in stand alone

Hopefully someone knows the solution....
After the devices have been on for a approximately a week the steps are noticeably slower. Will keep getting slower until it is only maybe a step a second. A power cycle fixes but I was wondering what could be causing this? Happens on 2 DVC4 GZMs and an older fun model as well. Have to power cycle 3 of them weekly now. Thanks much, Gregg
