import of *.dxf file

Hi guys,

I have got a *.dxf file with my room which I would like to simulate.

But during import I get an error "cannot convert *.dxf.

My *.dxf file is readable with other programs.

Any ideas ?

happens to me as well. in 3dm sends me the same error

The best thing to do is to use other software to convert from 3ds or dxf to .x (direct x binary mesh). Virtual 3D simulator can convert some small 3ds and dxf files if they are not too complex, however other graphics software can give you a lot more options.

You could try 3D object converter. I design/open up most of my graphics in google sketchup and use the 3D rad exporter plugin to export as .x
