Hi,
I'm loooking for a way to modify a fixture in the scan library and refresh it in daslight.
I created a lot of scenes using a wash moving head fixture and now I want to use the effect generator I realize that in order to have a dimmer channel, there is a shutter channel.. So I need to modify only that but I can't find a way to do it without losing all the associated scenes when I re-patch with the new ssl file...

Does someone know the solution? If there's one..

Unfortunately if you need to modify a fixture profile you will need to re-patch and re-create your Scenes.

in your announcement post for "Daslight Beta 16 August 2017" you listed the following item:

"Ability to merge previous patched fixtures when using the Import facility"

I thought that this is for the case described by douezneuf. Is it not? What is then the idea behind merging fixtures?

"Ability to merge previous patched fixtures when using the Import facility"

This feature was added to show a warning when a conflict occurred when importing a patch that could override what you already have in your show on the same DMX address. Previously if you clicked import patch it would override what you already had patched.
