Getting general light.

Post by That_Lighting_Guy »

Hello,

I had just installed houselights in my theatre I built in the simulator, and when I turned them on I got a just beam of light with a circle beam ,like a spotlight. They are the "Public" lights I used. Is there any way to get these lights to provide general light instead of a beam. Like the Ambient lighting, but provided by the "house lights"?

You will need to create them in ScanLibrary if you want them controlled by DMX, you might be able to just add these lights within the visualiser without being patched in DVC2 (don't know for sure), but would not know if you could turn the beam on by default.

Remember the visualiser is not meant to be a full photo-realistic visualiser more of a check to ensure you programming of scenes etc is correct (well near enough). To get full photorealistic visualisation you would need to use Cast's WYSIWYG or Capture's Capture.

I think the visualiser in this program is very good for what it does and is free.

Just noticed I said the same thing in a previous post of yours .... hmmmm
