Good Morning at all,
I have one DVC2GOLD installed on my multimedia system and controlled by contact closure on stand-alone mode.

Now i need to download the program present inside, but when i connect the DVC2 software i have one popup message of request "Firmware Upgrade" for reading the DVC2COLD.

My question is very simple.

If upgrade the firmware the data present inside may be cancelled or may be corrupted?

I dont'have any backup. this module is 2 years OLD.

Ciao Luigi,

If your DVC2 GOLD interface is older than 01 Jan 2007 then you can update.
If it is newer than 01 Jan 2007 then no need to update.

If you do update you just need to ensure that you have at least 1 scene in the stand alone memory.

It does not destroy the shows as far as I am aware.
