So, can the DVC2 GOLD really do stand alone? I need a device with the ability to repeat the same scene over and over - every 3 minutes for days or years.

Is this possible with the DVC2 GOLD?

Is the time-based triggering ELAPSED time, or REAL time?

Does anyone have the answer?

It is both, it will be able to do what you require.
