Multiple Light Beams

Good Evening,
I am trying to update the ADJ Mega Pixel LED bar profile so show all 24 beams of light (the fixture has 8 sections of red, green and blue LEDs lined up in a linear fashion)
My problem is I cannot get the scan editor to save the SSL. It keeps giving me the channels don't match the light beams error.
My question is what parameters does a light beam have to have. I tried experimenting with a new fixture, gave it three light beams and tried different channel types (RGB, COLOR, DIMMER, LAMP) With different presets (Color, Dimmer, ect) nothing works. I have found where to assign light beams and have used the error checker, the manual is VERY vague.
