Bug Report on DVC 3 RC 1

Post by Aralon »

Hello,

i have found some Bugs in DVC 3 RC1:

- Effect generator dosen´t work currectly with multi beam LED ( Stairville Stage Tri LED Bundle ).

- Scenes dosen´t save flash modus. ( For Fog Machines )

- I have named some devices in Setup but the Editor Mode and Effect Generator dosen´t show the Name. He shows only the device and the DMX Adress. The faders dosen´t show the names in all modes. The software "Easy Stand Allone" from Nicolaudie shows the individual name on faders.

-In Live Mode individual setting form dimmer and speed dosen´t save. (scene buttons)

I missed Colored Faders... ( See Easy Stand Allone)

Thats all for today...

Hi

Thanks for your bug reports

- Effect generator dosen´t work currectly with multi beam LED ( Stairville Stage Tri LED Bundle ).

This will be fixed in the next version

- Scenes dosen´t save flash modus. ( For Fog Machines )

This will be fixed in the next version

- I have named some devices in Setup but the Editor Mode and Effect Generator dosen´t show the Name. He shows only the device and the DMX Adress.

The name is shown on the tab at the bottom. I'm not sure what you mean when you say that Easy Stand Alone shows the fixture name on the faders

-In Live Mode individual setting form dimmer and speed dosen´t save. (scene buttons)

I don't understand

I missed Colored Faders... ( See Easy Stand Allone)

Daslight offers tabs and a fixture selection window instead

DVC 3 save programms incorrect.
When FX crashes (see my post) DVC3RC1 mostly - not always - loses the related scenes. Fortunately there is a working import function for repairing it :D .

Another Bug (?): When I create an effect in the Live mode it works fine. But: all scenes that are not related to the effect turn completely off. All faders across all fixtures are set to LTP =0. Is this indended this way? From my perspective the Effect button has to address the selected fixtures only.

I have found 2 more issues with DVC3 RC1:

Saving seems to be a problem. Yesterday I programmed a number of scenes which I wanted to recall via Midi. These were a range of individual mixed colors to be called up through the BCF 2000 buttons. Everything worked, but 3 hours later, all scenes of a particular DMX value (one fixture, but 2 dmx groups) had lost the Midi link. The others remained.

Another issue - I do not know if this is intended or a bug or a mistake from my end: For DJing I use Midi to change light effects quickly. I have a number of programmed scenes, which I manage through Midi (Call-up, Speed, Dim) in LIVE Mode. I also have other fixtures which are primary managed through Midi like KLS 1001, CLS-3. Although I see the faders in Live Mode, however, changes are possible only in the editor mode (Midi had been set in the editor mode). And when I switch from Live to Editor Mode, scenes turn off – they have to be activated again (Release is always set to off).

There is one more bug:

When I want to integrate an audio file in DVC3 (latest version) with a scene, an error message is the consequence: "MCI-failure... unknown command"

Ok I see, it will be fixed int he next version

after save some scenes and groups no longer away

I'm not sure exactly what you mean here. We have found a bug this week where an imported scene index is not stored correctly, did you import some scenes?

When FX crashes

I don't understand what you mean. When the FX generator crashes?

all scenes that are not related to the effect turn completely off. All faders across all fixtures are set to LTP =0. Is this indended this way?

This is a bug and will be fixed in the next version

all scenes of a particular DMX value (one fixture, but 2 dmx groups) had lost the Midi link

I can't reproduce this right now, see if you can find a pattern

changes are possible only in the editor mode (Midi had been set in the editor mode).

are you referring to channel fader changes or scene changes?

When I want to integrate an audio file in DVC3 (latest version) with a scene, an error message is the consequence: "MCI-failure... unknown command"

This will be fixed in the next version

Thanks for all your comments :)
