I would like to address that with the Daslight DVC Gold I have 4 outputs, but I can only use 2 outputs.
On the website it is listed that it would provide 1024 channels and can be upgraded to 2048 channels.
That does not mean Daslight is permitted to disable the other two outputs until you upgrade to more universes.
I want to be able to use the other outputs to also send out the same universes.
The physical hardware outputs need to be made accessible for using the universes you already have access to.
Daslight 5 DVC Gold Can't use all outputs
Re: Daslight 5 DVC Gold Can't use all outputs
Hello,
Thanks for raising this post! If you update your DVC Gold to the latest firmware through Hardware Manager (be sure that you are using the version included with 5.0.5.1), you will be able to use all 4 outputs. With this update, output 3 will copy output 1 and output 4 will copy output 2.
Kind regards,
Will

Thanks for your response.
But this gives not the full functionality as I can't change it to get three outputs and one input.
Or assign universe 1 to output 1, 2 and 3 and universe 2 to output 4.
It should give the user complete freedom to change the functionality of the hardware interface.
It should only limit the user to use more than 1024 channels (2 universes).
As I am owner of device I have bought, I should be able to use the hardware interface to its full extent as described.
Only the option to increase the amount of channels (universes) is upgradable as described on the website. The hardware itself and its functionality for being able to use all 4 XLR connections, need to be accessible for usage like it is described on the website. So as output or input and freedom of choice for each output to assign either universe 1 or 2.

Re: Daslight 5 DVC Gold Can't use all outputs
Unfortunately this is not something that is possible for the hardware to do as is- the licensing system simply is not set up to handle that, in the same way that you could argue that it should be possible to use all 4 ports and 4 universes by using only channels 1-255 on each universe, split over 4 output ports (still totalling less than 1024 channels). Again, the licensing system and the hardware itself is just not built to work like that. To my knowledge, the main reason is that for the device itself- there is no way to distinguish what is a duplicated universe, so it is just always seen as a separate universe entirely. The only reason it works as is for now is because we added a feature to mirror the ports exactly when there is a certain number of channels unlocked.
Sorry that I can not provide a more positive outcome for you on this occasion!
