When I create a fan as part of a scene with moving heads, it takes a second or so for the fixture to get to the desired pan and tilt value. If the light is already on, this looks a bit rubbish. I only want light output when the orientation is the desired one. Is there a nice way to achieve that, given there might be other stuff going on in the scene (eg a chase)?
Daslight 5 (could be 4 though).

Have the same problem.
If i create a static scene with for example pan with fan and if i then make a transition to this scene with a transition time it dont smoothly transfers to this.

Re: Only turning movers on when they're in position
Hello,
I am afraid there is no direct way of setting this up, since Daslight has no specific way of knowing when a physical fixture has reached it's desired point. Some fixtures have their own 'blackout when moving' internal setting, but many do not. There is one thing I can think of that we can try in order to work around this however.
If you set your static position do a Steps scene, the position should automatically be stored into the step. Then, add a new step. Turn the Dimmer to 0% on step 1, and to 100% on Step 2, then set the desired fade or wait time (this should be roughly how long it takes for your fixtures to reach their desired static point. Set the number of loops for this scene to 1 - then you should be set!
This same behaviour can likely be achieved using a Curve FX with a Ramp waveform, which is especially useful if you prefer to do this as a relative scene.
Hopefully this helps!
Kind regards,
Will
