Profile Builder Questions

Hello,

I have a few questions about using the Profile Builder.

1. Preset Ranges

What are preset ranges?

It seems like they offer a means for defining multiple preset ranges for a channel depending on the state of another channel...

For example, here is a fixture where CH1 controls the system mode and CH2 sets a lighting pattern or a sub-mode depending on CH1.

I set this up in the Profile Builder and expanded the ranges into one screenshot.

In theory, I could link the preset range selection of CH2 based on a value from CH1. Adding additional preset ranges to a channel gives error "Master channel selection for preset range link not implemented yet (missing DMX range master)" which seems to be consistent with my theory.

I can not figure out how to resolve this error. Further input or explanation would be welcomed!


2. Preset Properties

Is there some documentation on these that I can be referred to? Which of these have useful or interesting effects in Daslight 5? Specifically I'm curious about "Linear", "Shake", "Index", "Bounce", "Random", "Priority" and "DMX Range Min/Max" parameters.
