BUG fade/edit scene in superscene

Post by andreaferrari »

good morning guys, as you can see in the linked video, there is a big flaw with the fades and the scene edit in the superscene, the software is updated to the latest version, I have already tried to reinstall several times, there is no way to make it work, I think it's a bug. now i wonder, is this a problem that will be solved in the next release? because at the moment the software in these conditions is unusable for me, and it's a real shame. a greeting, thank you

I add: even creating new scenes and superscen, the result does not change, the software goes into crisis .. to restore everything I have to restart.

wasn't it better to stay still in beta versions, before releasing an "official" version with so many problems? I really believe in the development of this software and I would like to use it on a professional level in the theater academy I work for, but at the moment it's impossible, probably for a dj/entertainment use where fade ins/outs are not used, it could be fine. i'm waiting..

Hello,

About your first problem.
Actually the fade of the block is a fade between block in superscene and not an fade between scene.
I you want a fade between scene you can set the fade time in the scene properties.

For your second problem, It's a bug which will be corrected in the next release.

A fade time between scenes has no effect in super scenes.

If you have several scenes with different moving head positions in a bank and set Fade In times, fading in works in live mode, but not in super scenes, where the fade time is ignored.

2 scenes with static moving head position one after the other in a super scene track does not allow a fade between the two positions/scenes. The position is changed abruptly.
it doesn't matter whether the scenes fade in or fade out or a fade in the super scene

I just found out that a fade is only possible if 2 scenes are on 2 different tracks and only if the second scene is above the track with the first scene, the second scene is on a track below the track with the first scene no fade is possible

I have a static scene with movinghead position 1 (upper violett block) and a second static scene with the same movinghead on position 2 (lower violett block). The red arrow shows the fasetime between the two positions and my movinghead moves exactly in this time from position 1 to position 2. You can set this ramp directly with the mous in the timeline. You do not need to define any fadetime in the setup of the 2 static-scenes.
It works fine.

Regard,
Michael

Ok, the way with the fade out works that way too. It must then be a fade out and not a fade in

When you mean fade between 2 scenes, regarding your video, I think it's fade between block.
In a superscene, If there isn't block there is no data.
So If there is only one block with fade in, it can't be a fade between nothing and data of the block.
There will be a fade only if there is a block below.
