EasyView2 don't use the fixture profile

Post by kraimor »

Hi at all...

I´m a absolutely beginner in Daslight and have a question regarding EasyView2.

The fixture I´ve used for programming is from the manufacturer "Stairville".
Type: "HL-X18 QCL RGBW" (in the standard fixture library from daslight)

I´ve opend the 3D Visualizer and see only two PAR cans.
Therefore I opend "Scan Library", opened the fixture and edited the properties (light beam angle, geometric modell).

I restarted Daslight, created a new file with the Stairville fixtures and opend the Visualizer.

Same problem: Only see two PAR cans with false beam angle and flase geometric modell.

It seems like the Visualizer ignores the modified fixture profile from the lib.

Can you help me to solve this?

Here the results from further tests.

If I go in EasyView2 to the properties of the fixture I can see the right beam angle and the right geometric modell.
So far so good...

But the 3D view shows the old/false profile.

It only updates the visualization if I go to the properties and press OK.

Is this a bug?

Hey,

First of, sorry for late answer. The 3D software needs to be restarted after a profile file has been edited. The old profile will still be used until the software resets its cache and loads the new profile.

Also, please make sure you're using the softwares coming from the same setup file. They need to be in the same pachage as Daslight 4 and EasyView use the same profile folder.

Hope this helps. Thank you for using our products.

Hi Tomhat, sorry for the late response...

The problem exists still. Restart of the software don't solve this problem.
The software versions are from the same package...

Hi TomHat,

I´m very frustrated with EasyView2.

It´s very very cumbersome to use... I only want to simulate my lights that I´m able to programm the show offline.
But there are too much bugs... (no support for prism, loading the false dmx channel mode, don't load all parameters of the profile, load the false dimensions)

Are there plans to update EasyView2 in the near future?

I´m very interested to become a stable version that i can do my work.

Can you make contact to the developers of EasyView2?
I think it´s more efficient if i can report the bugs directly to them.

I too have the same problem, and that's why I do not think I'm buying hardware...
EasyView only works until you close the file. Then it does not load the textures correctly even if they have not been modified.
