How can I generate one Master-Dimmer for all Group/Devices

Post by TDC-NRW »

Hi All,

I´m Beginner and have ons question regarding Master Dimmer.
I use daslight Version 2, the Behringer BCF 2000 Contoler and 12 devices (Moving-Head, Strobe, PAR 64, Laser, Smoke Maschine etc).

Example: I have createt one Group for the following devices:
4 PAR 64,
1 eurolite-LED PTN-5 Flower effect
1 ADJ-Quad GEM

In this Group I have the following Scene:
4 Scene for the PAR 64 (Red, Blue, green, Rainbow)
2 Scene for the ADJ Quad GEM
2 Scene for the eurolight LED Flower effect.

How can I generate one Master Dimmer for this Group and for all this devices on my BCF 2000 controler?

Futhermore: I don´t find the eurolite-LED PTN-5 Flower effect in the libary.
How can I create one Icon for the following 3 channels:

Master dimmer is not really possible with DVC2, however 2 options.
you could link the bcf to all shutter / intensity channels in live mode, but sadly this overrides any programming, and definately does not work with leds,

option 2.
in your group of scenes. at the end create a single loop scene that has a value of "1" for each of the channels with intensity.
make this scene fade for say 2 seconds, then activate "next auto" on this scene to activate the following scene , with a zero time (m00s00.04)
this scene needs to have a copy of the previous scene in it (or leds flash briefly) and this scene needs the " group release command " best to also activate next auto to what ever you need next in a new group.

as for the fixture PTN5, can you not find something similar in the ssl library, then just edit the fixture, this is the simplest way. also take a look at the website video tutorial on creating a fixture, the videos are very helpful.
