DVC2 cannot find interface

Ive been trying to get my Daslight STUDI-5C controller to work on an old 32bit Windows 7 machine but DVC2 will not recognise the controller.
I have installed the latest version of DVC2 from your website and tools.exe says
STUDI-5C Firmware:1.36 Serial Number:562176220 Product Code:141
However I only have 2 tabs, an "interface tab" & a "test" tab, there is no way to update the firmware but tools finds the interface and comunicates with it.
Why is DVC2 saying "interface not detected".
