DMX Output state when Software Closed

Post by jonnyboy93 »

Hi

We have the following setup:
Computer running Virtual Controller 3, linked to a DVC3-128 via USB, in turn controlling some lights via some Strand dimmer packs.

What we are experiencing is this:
Everything works fine, but on occasion, when we exit the Virtual Controller software, some of the fixings eitherremain on, or turn on. What is the default state of the DMX output of the DVC3 when the software is closed, and how can we ensure that no lights stay on, or turn on whenwe exit the software?

Many Thanks
Jon

Hi Jon,

The software will not output any DMX when closed. However if the controller is still powered it will revert to Stand Alone mode which will probably have some demo scenes stored on it.

If you write some empty scenes to the device using the software this should solve the problem with some lights coming on when the software is closed.

Hope that helps.
